It was during my time in college that Jesus placed it on my heart to pursue His plan for the world. I was involved with the campus ministry of Cru at Indiana University of Pennsylvania for the four years I was there, and it wasn’t long before I learned so much more about what it meant to have an eternal perspective. During my senior year, I led a freshman girls’ Bible study and fell in love. God certainly worked in my heart the whole time I was a student, but that last year sealed the deal on my desire to do ministry full time.

The two things that changed my life forever were (1) God, His Word, + people are the only things that last forever, and (2) The Great Commission is not an optional call for believers — it’s a requirement.

What better way to invest in the eternally significant, and answer this required call, than to pour into one of the most strategic demographics in the world with the Gospel & send them out to the world? One of the most strategic ways to reach the world for Christ is through college students. For myself, I couldn’t think of a better way to invest my time into the lives of others, especially younger women, than through college ministry. After graduating, I interned with Cru for a year at IUP and the desire that God originally placed in my heart was confirmed even further.

During the summer of 2015, I officially joined staff with Cru for the long haul and was placed on the Tidewater/Richmond Metro Team in southeastern Virginia, complete with a scope of 170,000+ college students, and I work on two campuses in the Tidewater area. Working on a metro team involves a ton of travel and

I’m so thankful to be able to say that I love my job. Being able to see young ladies grow in their faith + pass it along to others brings me life. I’ve begun to live for those “lightbulb moments,” when eyes are opened to the light + hope of the Gospel, and it causes transformational change.

In relation to blogs & writing, I also contribute to Awake & Free, a blog written for the women in our Tidewater-Richmond scope. It features my teammates and I and the occasional student or guest writer, and we share various things that the Lord has been teaching us.

What I do as a full time job isn’t possible without my wonderful + faithful team of ministry partners. If you have an interest in partnering with me by giving monthly, or if you’d just like to give a special gift, check out this link for more info: give.cru.org/0850454
